Track Day Packing List: What to Bring and Why

Track Day Packing List: What to Bring and Why

Here’s a packing list to make sure you’re not "that guy" borrowing tools in the paddock.

Must-Haves:

  • Helmet (Snell-rated)
  • Torque wrench
  • Tire pressure gauge
  • Jack + jack stands or ramps
  • Fluids: oil, coolant, brake fluid
  • Tool kit (sockets, screwdrivers, etc.)
  • Zip ties and duct tape (track essentials!)

Comfort & Survival:

  • Sunscreen
  • Water & snacks
  • Folding chair
  • Shade tent or umbrella
  • Gloves
  • Extra clothes/shoes

Pro Tips:

  • Label your tools—they tend to wander.
  • Keep a checklist taped inside your tool bag or glove box.
  • Bring extra fuel or a gas can, especially if the track is remote.

Being prepared = more driving, less scrambling. Efficiency off track gives you more energy on it.
