Track Day Packing List: What to Bring and Why
Share
Here’s a packing list to make sure you’re not "that guy" borrowing tools in the paddock.
Must-Haves:
- Helmet (Snell-rated)
- Torque wrench
- Tire pressure gauge
- Jack + jack stands or ramps
- Fluids: oil, coolant, brake fluid
- Tool kit (sockets, screwdrivers, etc.)
- Zip ties and duct tape (track essentials!)
Comfort & Survival:
- Sunscreen
- Water & snacks
- Folding chair
- Shade tent or umbrella
- Gloves
- Extra clothes/shoes
Pro Tips:
- Label your tools—they tend to wander.
- Keep a checklist taped inside your tool bag or glove box.
- Bring extra fuel or a gas can, especially if the track is remote.
Being prepared = more driving, less scrambling. Efficiency off track gives you more energy on it.
